It is beginning to get close to the time that I will start thinking about finding a new host for this site. Yep, I like the company I’m with, but I simply won’t be able to afford to extend it. Especially since they like for you to pay for a full year at once. That’s not happening.

What will happen is that I will be shopping around, and one of the first places I will be looking is WPDesigner.com. They provide a list of the top ten best webhosting companies on the net, in their opinion.

This web hosting review site does not beat around the bush. Their top 10 list is right there, out in the open, so that when the page loads, it is the first thing that you see. This design technique makes using WPDesigner.com a very easy experience. Face it, the last thing you need is a difficult website to wade through trying to figure out which host is the best, right?

Anyway, the site is nicely put together. The only real criticism I have is that their top list contains a few hosts I’ve never heard of. Not that it is a bad thing, but compared to many other top hosting sites out there, it tends to give the appearance of promoting their affiliates over well-known companies.

Hey, gotta love the affiliates, right?

Well, believe it or not, I have managed to come across not just one, but two sites that feature the news of the weird stuff that makes the world go around. This time, it happens to be a site that is appropriately called Very Weird News dot com. I know, you just cannot get enough of this stuff, right? I can’t either.

This site runs the gamut of odd news, featuring articles that range from the mildly strange (cool RFID toys, etc.) to the totally off-beat (like professional women’s pillow fighting). Okay, perhaps that doesn’t sound interesting to you (with the exception of the pillow fighting…ahem). Fortunately, there are plenty of other news stories on the site to satisfy your craving for the ‘just too strange for the local news media’ stories.

The site is a basic blog with a very clean design. It is a very easy to navigate site, which is great for the people who might not have a clue about finding their way through a huge maze of link insanity.

I am happy to report that this site ranks pretty high on my ‘cool-stuff-o-meter’. A clean interface, combined with current events, with a heavy dose of over the top goofy stuff makes for an excellent site.

Everyone likes to hear stories of the bizzare crap that goes on around the world, myself included. Believe me, there is no shortage of idiots in this world making the headlines. Thankfully, there are media members nearby ready to take notes.
